Six pro-Taliban militants killed in S Waziristan

Islamabad: Six pro-Taliban militants were
killed and five others injured in a search operation conducted
by security forces in the restive South Waziristan tribal
region of Pakistan on Saturday.

Troops carried out the operation in Sholaam area of
Sarokai sub-division, 40 km north of Wana, the main town in
South Waziristan Agency, officials said.

No further details were immediately available.
There were no reports of casualties among the security
forces.
