Sri Lankan parliamentarians to be given Yoga lessons

Soon Sri Lankan Parliament will conduct Yoga classes for its parliamentarians.

Colombo: Soon Sri Lankan Parliament will conduct Yoga classes for its parliamentarians.

Malini Fonseka, the actor turned MP, who initiated the
programme, told a local weekly that classes will be conducted
when sessions are held and interested lawmakers could attend
them.

Classes will start from January next year and conducted
twice a week.
Initial meeting to kick off the programme was discussed
with yoga instructors at parliament complex, a parliament
official said.

The programme themed "Yoga for Body and Mind" is planned
to start with the help of parliamentary affairs ministry.
Yoga exercises are popular among the higher class of the
Sri Lankan society as a stress releasing and healthy practice.
