Soon after DMDK opened alliance negotiations with BJP, PMK said it would soon make a "formal" announcement on its stand for Lok Sabha elections.

Tindivanam: Soon after DMDK opened alliance negotiations with BJP, PMK on Thursday said it would soon make a "formal" announcement on its stand for Lok Sabha elections.

After participating in the Administrative Committee meeting, the top decision-making body of the party, PMK president GK Mani said the party had authorised its founder leader S Ramadoss to take a decision in this regard.

"Our leader will take the final decision...It includes everything including forging alliances with prospective parties," Mani told a news agency.
Ramadoss and his son former union minister Anbumani Ramadoss were among those who attended the 39-member committee meeting.

Asked about the much talked-about PMK`s alliance with BJP in Tamil Nadu, he said "anything related to polls will be decided and announced by our leader Ramadoss very soon..We understand..We will not make you wait for long," he said.
BJP, which is trying hard to establish its footprint in Tamil Nadu, has been making attempts to woo PMK, a Vanniyar community-dominated outfit.
