Erode: A former woman DMK councillor was, on Monday, allegedly stabbed to death by a three-member gang which
decamped with her gold chain weighing eight sovereigns, police
said.
The three unidentified persons had entered a brick factory
run by the victim, Rathinam Nallasivam, near here and
reportedly tried to remove the gold chain from her neck.
When she resisted, they allegedly stabbed her to death,
police said.
They then escaped on a motorcycle.
A case of murder for gain has been registered, police
added.
