Jayalalitha expresses doubt over CBI probe into 2G scam

Chennai: AIADMK chief Jayalalitha on Thursday expressed scepticism over the ongoing CBI probe into the 2G spectrum scam, saying it appeared to be "doubtful".

"We want the investigation to reach its logical end. So far it appears doubtful," she told reporters after the party`s general council meeting at Vanagaram in the city`s suburbs.

She said the CBI had not come out with its findings, adding that the party still stood by its demand for a probe by a Joint Parliamentary Committee into the scam.
She said she welcomed the Supreme Court`s independent investigation into the scam.
