Namakkal: A local court today sentenced a 28-old-man to life for murdering his younger brother over a land dispute.
The siblings' father had divided three acres between them equally but the younger son, Chandrakumar who was studying MBA, had demanded that the elder Senthilkumar hand over his share to him so that he can take up cultivation.
Following differences, Chandrakumar started sleeping at a nearby temple and refused to come home. Senthilkmar, irked over his sibling's demands, murdered him at the temple on August 11, 2011.
Principal District Sessions court judge Ramathilagam sentenced Senthilkumar to life and also imposed a fine of Rs 5000.
