Erode: Youth Congress members will hold a
three-day rally from Tirunelveli to Koodankulam from February
10 and meet the residents of those living around the
Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) about the benefits of
the project and the safety aspects taken inside and outside
the plant.

M Yuvaraja, State Youth Congress President, said yesterday
that if the Plant started production, Tamil Nadu would be the
main state that would benefit. He urged the Union Government
to expedite the inauguration of the plant.

Yuvaraja also demanded that the Union and State Governments
to book under Goondas Act S P Udayakumar, Coordinator,
People`s Movement Against Nuclear Energy, spearheading the
anti-KNPP movement in Koodankulam as he is "misleading the
people and creating unnecessary fear over the plant".

He also requested the State government to postpone the
tenth and 12th standard public exams due to the frequent power
cuts across the state in the past few months.
