Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who's been using a helicopter to tour the state, has now got himself a luxury on wheels.
KCR has ordered a state-of-the-art custom made bullet-proof Mercedes-Benz bus costing Rs 5 crore.
The bus has been made in Chandigarh and was brought to Hyderabad with special prayers offered to it.
And in his extravagance, the chief minister has his bus installed with high-end technology and a reinforced body capable of withstanding any kind of terror attack.
The splurging on the comfort doesn't stop there as the KCR's bus even features its own Wi-Fi Internet, 12 chairs and staircase to the rooftop, for the CM to interact with the people.
On the contrary, the bus does not feature a bedroom, as it was reported.
The Purpose
Initially, the bus is expected to be used extensively for KCR's ambitious Harita Haram programme tours.
Sources in the government said the road trips will enable the chief minister to also check the implementation of the drinking water grid and Mission Kakatiya programmes.
He strictly wanted the bus to be used only for official purposes in which he can greet during his visit in the inner parts of his state.
Reports says that the CM is expected to spend at least 10 days a month in the bus.
