Hyderabad: A chilling video of an unidentified man robbing a young woman after opening fire inside an ATM centre in Hyderabad's Yosufguda area has emerged.
As per police, the incident took place at around 7.45 am on Wednesday when 25-year-old Lalitha had gone to the ATM centre to withdraw money.
As soon as the woman entered the ATM, an unidentified man with his face covered followed her inside and asked her to hand over her jewellery etc.
The man fired a shot into the wall of the ATM centre from a pistol after the woman tried to resist the robbery attempt.
He then took away her gold chain, earrings (weighing around 20 grams in total), mobile phone and also the ATM card.
The woman works with a software firm and stays at a hostel in Madhura Nagar.
As per police, the man also forced the woman to disclose PIN number of her ATM card and tried to withdraw money before fleeing but failed due to some technical problem.
Fifteen minutes after the accused fled from the spot, Rs 2,500 were found to have been withdrawn from another ATM centre using the victim's card.
