CPI(M) flays Centre for delay in finalising Puducherry plan

CPI(M) on Friday slammed Chief Minister N Rangasamy and BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre for the `delay' in giving nod for finalising the size of the 2015-16 plan for the union territory which has forced presentation of vote on account by the territorial government.

Puducherry: CPI(M) on Friday slammed Chief Minister N Rangasamy and BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre for the `delay' in giving nod for finalising the size of the 2015-16 plan for the union territory which has forced presentation of vote on account by the territorial government.

In a statement here, Puducherry CPI(M) Secretary R.Rajangam said the ruling AINRC contested the Lok Sabha polls last year in alliance with the BJP and promised that if the the NDA came to power the needs and requirements of Puducherry would be met.

"But the Chief Minister has not been able to present full fledged budget and was opting for the passing of Vote on Account in the Assembly," he said.

The delay in finalising the size of the plan for Puducherry had been the reason for such lack of full fledged budget, he said charging both the Chief Minister and the Centre were letting down the people on several counts.
