NCC inculcates discipline in youth: Puducherry CM

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy on Wednesday said NCC inculcates discipline, self-confidence and passion for achieving excellence among youth in addition to enabling them make excellent progress in academic career.

Felicitating cadets of the director of NCC (Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry) on their return after bagging several medals and awards in competitions on the Republic Day Camp parade in Delhi, he said the cadets had done the government and their states proud.

He presented mementos to cadets of Puducherry.

Rangasamy reiterated his government's policy to provide maximum aid to youth to pursue their education without break.

Deputy Director General of NCC Directorate (Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry) Commodore KS Aiyappa highlighted the cadets' achievements.

A total of 115 cadets, including girl wing volunteers had participated in the parade.

The Directorate won Roop Jyoti Sharma trophy for equestrian events after a 16 year gap.
