Abducted girl found murdered in UP

Body of a 15-year-old girl who was abducted along with her sister on July 25 was recovered from Kairana town in Shamli district following which three police personnel have been suspended for alleged negligence.

Muzaffarnagar: Body of a 15-year-old girl who was abducted along with her sister on July 25 was recovered from Kairana town in Shamli district following which three police personnel have been suspended for alleged negligence.

Two sisters aged 15 and 20, were allegedly abducted by 12 people from Kairana town.

While the body of the 21-year-old girl, who was raped before being killed was found on August 2, body of the 15-year-old girl was found yesterday triggering protests by locals who blocked the Panipat-Khatima Highway for several hours.

"Body of the girl who was apparently strangulated to death was found yesterday. It has been sent for postmortem," SP Dinesh Chand told reporters here.

The SHO Ajay Kumar Chouhan, Sub-inspector Satpal Singh and constable Sanjay have been suspended for negligence of duty, he said adding, one sub-inspector has already been suspended in connection with the case.

Police had registered a case against 12 people for abducting the two sisters and one person was arrested in this connection.
