Add commissioner fined for not providing information under RTI

Nirupma Mishra was fined as she did not provide information under Right to Information Act to Prem Singh Kashyap, who had demanded information on allotment of kiosks and small shops in 2010.

Ghaziabad: A fine of Rs 10,000 has been
slapped on additional commissioner of Ghaziabad Municipal
Corporation by the state commissioner for information for not
responding to an RTI query.

0n March 23, 2010, she was asked to provide the
information but since she did not do so, the state
commissioner for information imposed the fine for not
complying with the order.

The state commissioner for information has directed the
city commissioner of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation to
recover the fine from Mishra within a week and deposit the
amount to the government.
