BJP will paralyse all types of traffic in Uttar Pradesh for three hours on March 29 to protest alleged spurt in crime and corruption.

Lucknow: BJP will paralyse all types of
traffic in Uttar Pradesh for three hours on March 29 to
protest alleged spurt in crime and corruption.

"There is nothing like law and order left in Uttar
Pradesh, while people are living in fear criminals are roaming
free even in the state capital," BJP state president Surya
Pratap Shahi told newspersons.
"BJP had been continuously protesting against the
situation and on March 29 a three-hour agitation will be
launched from 11 am during which all type of traffic will be
stopped," he announced.

Shahi said that agitation timing was fixed between 11
am to 2 pm so that there was no disruption of the ongoing
board examinations.

Accusing BSP MLAs of being involved in a number of
criminal activities, he said the state government protects
them until the court intervenes.
Terming fair and remunerative price of Rs 145 per
quintal for cane as insufficient, the BJP president alleged
that the Centre`s attitude was anti-farmers.

"As cost of fertilisers, irrigation and labour has
increased FRP of cane should be fixed at minimum Rs 250 per
quintal," he demanded.
