Noida: A CB-CID probe into violent protest at Bhatta-Parsaul in May 2011 has held farmers guilty for the clashes.
Two farmers and as many policemen were killed in the clashes and ensuing gunbattle that took place during the agitation against forcible land acquisition in the twin villages of Greater Noida by the then Mayawati-led BSP government.
Several others were injured in the clashes that took place on May 7 that year.
The violence had erupted a day after farmers kidnapped three officials of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, who were conducting a survey in the area.
