Badaun: A constable, who was arrested after he allegedly threw a minor girl off a police station roof, was terminated from services on Sunday, a senior officer said here.
A 16-year-old girl had yesterday alleged that she was thrown off the roof by a police constable identified as Gaurav, he said.
As per the complaint earlier lodged by victim's mother, the incident took place on the evening of January 15 when she was thrown by a constable from the roof of Ujhani police station here after which she was seriously injured.
The girl was rushed to a hospital where she yesterday gained consciousness and gave her statement to the police after which an FIR was registered.
Inspector General Vijay Singh Meena said that Gaurav, who was arrested yesterday, has been terminated from services today.
He said that the Station House Officer of the police station, Ram Surat Singh Yadav has also been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty.
Police is probing as to how the girl reached the roof of the police station, Meena said.
