Muzaffarnagar: A local court on Thursday ordered to initiate attachment proceedings against Bhartiya Kisan Union activists, including its national president Naresh Tikait, for failing to appear in court despite repeated summons.
The court has directed to start attachment proceedings against Tikait and others yesterday in a nine-year-old case of rioting, in which non-bailable warrants were issued against them.
The police had registered a case against them under various sections of the IPC in 2002.
