District Congress demands adequate security for its sect

Jamshedpur: A delegation of East Singhbhum district Congress Committee (DCC) today met the Senior Superintendent of Police here, Akhilesh Kumar Jha had demanded adequate security to its Secretary, Surya Rao, who has been receiving threat call from an unknown caller from two mobile phones since January 12.
Rao, a city-based builder, has lodged a FIR in this connection against unidentified persons under Olidih police station.

Talking to newsmen here, Rao said the caller has threatened him with dire consequences if he failed to fulfill the demand of Rs. 5 lakhs.
The caller identified himself as an aide of notorious criminal, Akhilesh Singh, who was arrested from Gurgaon last year and currently languishing in Ghaghidih jail here, Rao said.
