Gram Pradhan charged of harassing Dalit

Muazaffarnagar: A Gram Pradhan and four of his family members have been booked for allegedly harassing a Dalit to make him work as a bonded labour at Nagwa village
here, police said.

Santu was threatened and harassed by the Gram Pradhan Sudhir Kumar and four of his family members -- Pitamber, Tej Singh, Kanwar Singh and Harbir Singh, they said.
The victim lodged a case under SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act yesterday.
