If Babri Masjid could not be saved from demolition, who can stop construction of Ram Temple: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: With the crucial Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh just a few months away, fireband Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath has raked up the 'Ram Temple' issue saying, when no one was able to stop the demolition of Babri Masjid, who can stop the construction of a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

While addressing a Ram Katha programme in UP's Basti district on Saturday, the Gorakhpur MP reportedly said, ''No body can stop construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. On December 6, 1992 when kar sevaks demolished the Babri Masjid, they took back a brick each to use it according to their needs.''

The BJP leader, while expressing grief over Mathura and Kairana incidents, said, '''How long will the Hindus continue to migrate.''

Attacking those who returned Sahtiya Akademi awards claiming the present BJP-led government at the Centre is ''intolerant'', Yogi Adityanath said, “No one returned awards or talked about intolerance when Hindus were forced to leave Pakistan and Bangladesh.”

Notably, the BJP central leadership, whether it is Arun Jaitley, Mahesh Sharma or Rajnath Singh, has maintained that the party will not make the Ram Temple at Ayodhya an election issue during the upcoming assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh next year, even if it was "important" for the party.
