Ranchi: A crucial meeting of the JMM to decide on an assembly constituency for its supremo and Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren tonight remained inconclusive and a final call could be taken.
"Guruji (Soren) will contest a by-poll and a final decision on a seat will be taken tonight or tomorrow," senior party leader and state HRD Minister Hemlal Murmu told reporters after the party`s executive body meeting here.
"Guruji is free to choose any of the 18 seats of the JMM," Murmur replied when asked whether Berheit (Murmu`s constituency) could be won.
According to party insiders, there was still suspense over Soren plunging into a by-poll once again after the Tamar debacle in January 2009.
Soren had to quit from the chief minister`s post then, heralding the year-long President`s rule which was lifted after the November Assembly elections last year.
