Ballia (UP: A local court has sentenced eight persons to life imprisonment in an 18-year-old loot and kidnapping case.
Additional Session Judge Amar Pal Singh yesterday held all the accused guilty and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them.
According to prosecution, Shriniwas, Jagat Yadav, Shri Bhagwan, Poornmasi, Shatrughan, Ramji, Sudama, and Anil Yadav looted a jewellery shop and kidnapped two teenagers in Raniganj town in February 1996.
