Kanpur: A man has been arrested for allegedly
molesting a two-and-a-half-year-old girl in Maharajpur area,
police said on Tuesday.
The accused, Farukh, lured the victim with some sweets
and took the child to his relative`s empty house and molested
the girl, they said.
Hearing the child`s screams, neighbours caught Farukh and
beat him up and later handed him over to the police.
An FIR has been registered against him, they said.
The victim has been admitted to a city hospital where her
condition is stated to be serious.
