Lucknow: A mentally unstable man in his late
30s managed to give some anxious moments to intelligence
agencies and police through his repeated calls to Lok Sabha
threatening to blow up the Parliament House and kill all MPs.

The PBX number of Parliament kept ringing throughout the
day on May 17 with the caller threatening to kill all the
Members of Parliament by blowing up the building.

"Har ek ko marunga" (I will kill everyone), "Pure
Parliament ko uda doonga" (I will blow up Parliament) -- calls
like these kept security personnel on their toes as sleuths
scrambled to get hold of the man, official sources said.

He was making calls from different phone numbers
belonging to Jaipur and Uttar Pradesh but using the same
phone. Besides, the location was the phone was changing from
Deoria in eastern Uttar Pradesh to Siwan in Bihar, making it
difficult for the officials to track him down.

Finally, UP police managed to catch hold of the man from
Deoria district on Bihar border. His questioning revealed that
his mental condition was not stable because of unemployment.

"We have arrested the person from Deoria. But he seems to
be a harmless youth with a disoriented mind. He has been
unemployed for a long time and is in his late 30s," an
official involved in the investigations said.
