Minor girl gang-raped in UP, all five accused arrested

Siddharthnagar: A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Jogia area here following which all the accused have been arrested, police said.

The accused identified as Jitendra, Sunil, Rohit, Raksharam and Vishwakarma were arrested yesterday after an FIR was registered following a complaint by the girl`s mother saying the girl was gang-raped, SP Keshav Kumar Chowdhury said.

The incident took place on June 11 when the 15-year-old girl had gone to relieve herself and the five men then caught and raped her, he said.

All five accused have been arrested and further investigation is on, he said.
