New route opens for jungle safari at Rajaji National Park

Haridwar: A new route for jungle safari enthusiasts has been opened at the Rajaji National Park here giving them an opportunity to begin their excursion from Hathiwala Path.

The path was inaugurated for jungle safari at Rajaji park yesterday by Forest Minister Dinesh Aggrawal who emphasised that the state is gradually moving from traditional tourism to eco-tourism.

To encourage use of the new route, the forest department has decided to provide a security guard to tourists free of cost on Hathiwala path.

With the opening of the additional route, the safari lovers can now begin from Hathiwala Path and return through the Ranipur route via Sureshwari Devi Mandir route, Harnaul and Beriwala.
