Bhadohi: One person was today killed after his bike was hit by a truck in Gopiganj area here following which locals blocked the road in protest and set the truck afire, police said.
Kamla Shankar Bind (54), Principal of a secondary school in Arunachal Pradesh was killed on the spot when the bike he was riding on was hit by a truck, they said.
Irate locals blocked the road in protest and set the truck ablaze leading to traffic jam, they said, adding, police resorted to lathicharge to control the situation.
The truck driver has been arrested and the body of the victim sent for postmortem.
