Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi on December 25.

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi on December 25.

A senior official said the Prime Minister will arrive in morning to attend a few programmes before flying back by afternoon.

The Prime Minister will arrive at the Babatpur airport at 9 am in the morning and reach the BHU helipad from where he will drive to Assighat to attend two programmes, IG, law and order, A Satish Ganesh told mediapersons here.

After returning to BHU, Modi will attend a programme at the Swatantrata Bhawan, the IG said, adding that later he will address a small public meeting at the DLW stadium and take part in two other programmes there before leaving for Babatpur to fly back around 2 pm.

In preparation for the Prime Minister's visit, a coordination meeting of administrative, police and senior officials of other departments has been convened by Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan on December 23, he said.

The Varanasi Police has sent a request for 12 SPs, 8 ASPs, 10 DySPs, 12 companies of the PAC and 5 RAF for extending security for the Prime Minister's visit, he said, adding that the ADG, security has been made the nodal security officer for the visit.
