Lucknow: Regional outfit Akhand Desham
Party on Monday formally merged with Samajwadi Party, which would
strengthen the Mulayam Singh-led party in the Uttar Pradesh
Assembly elections, a SP spokesman said.
ADP`s national president Radhey Shyam Patel joined the
SP along with other leaders and workers before the party state
president Akhilesh Yadav, spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said.
Welcoming the merger, Akhilesh said that it would
strengthen the Samajwadi Party. He also alleged that organised
corruption of the Mayawati government was at its peak in Uttar
Pradesh.
