Mau (UP): Abu Laish, brother of jailed
mafia don Abu Salem, on Tuesday alleged that he was receiving
threats from his brother to leave the claim from properties.
"Salem, who had come to Saraimeer to attend last rites
of his aunt, called me on Sunday and asked to me leave claim
on properties in Azamgarh and Lucknow, failing which he
threatened me of dire consequences," Laish told reporters.
Laish alleged that Salem`s henchmen Arif and Akhtar
were making threatening calls for the last four months.
"I am harried with the threats and will lodge a
complaint with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, as well
as crime branch of Mumbai police," he said.
