Ghaziabad: In a horrific incident, a five-year-old was raped many times by a 60-year-old man, the father-in-law of the lady who runs a crèche at a residential society in Crossings Republik, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
Police has arrested Arun Sinha, after the girl complained to her parents about the man touching her inappropriately.
Humanity was shamed yet again as the little girl used to call Sinha 'dadu` (grandfather), owing to his age.
The girl had been going to the said crèche for three months. Her medical reports have confirmed that she was raped many times.
A criminal case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, said Superintendent of Police (City) Ajay Pal.
The news raises a question mark not only on an increase in crimes against children in general but also on the security of crèches across India.
