Two children injured in celebratory firing in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: Two children were injured in celebratory firing in separate marriage parties here, police said Tuesday.

A 12-year-old girl was injured in a celebratory firing at a marriage party at Modinagar area last night, they said.
In another incident at Muradnagar area yesterday, an eight-year-old boy was injured when gun shots were fired by the relatives of the groom, police said.

SSP Raghubir Lal said arms used in the marriage parties will be seized and their licences will be cancelled.
He ordered all Station House Officers to ensure that no person uses arms in marriage parties and directed the officials concerned to arrest the persons who fired the gun
shots.
