Two dead in Agra highway accident

Two people were crushed to death and several critically injured when the driver of a 10-wheeler truck lost control of the vehicle and hit an electric pole on National Highway-2, connecting Delhi and Agra, around 2 am on Monday.

The two dead were labourers returning home late at night.

Among the injured were four people, who were on their way to attend a wedding in Mainpuri district from Faridabad.

Circle officer Hari Parbat said the driver of the vehicle was seriously injured.

Several people waiting for buses from the Inter-State Bus Terminal, located close to the Agra-Delhi highway, were hit by the truck, police said Monday.
