Two persons die due to cold in UP

Lucknow: Two persons were today killed in
Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh, as temperature dropped
considerably in major parts of the state, official sources
on Friday said.

While body of a 30-year-old man was recovered in
Begumganj area last night, a 14-year-old girl today died in
Barauli village of Barabanki district due to intense cold,
they said.

With minimum temperature hovering around 4.0 degree
Celsius, Najibabad was the coldest place in the state.
Sultanpur recorded a minimum of 5.9 degree Celsius, which
was three degrees below normal.

Gorakhpur recorded a low of 7.6 degree Celsius two
degrees below normal.
