UP: Cong candidate injured in accident

A Congress candidate, who contested the recently concluded UP Assembly elections, was seriously injured after her vehicle collided with a truck.

Lucknow: A Congress candidate, who contested
the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, was
seriously injured after her vehicle collided with a truck in
Kakori area, police said.

Ishrat Rasool, who contested as a Congress nominee from
Sandila seat, sustained serious injuries when a truck collided
with the vehicle head-on last evening, they said.

Rasool has been admitted to the trauma centre, police
said, adding she was returning to Sandila after attending a
meeting at party office when the mishap occurred.
