Won’t mind if Mayawati has something against me: Gadkari

Mayawati on Friday had criticised Gadkari whom she alleged had used unsavoury language against the BSP during a meeting in Varanasi recently.

Lucknow: BJP president Nitin Gadkari
on Sunday said he would not mind if Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
Mayawati bore any grudge against him.

"I forgive Mayawati with a big heart if she has
something against me. I have no objections," Gadkari said in
a reply to a question on the sidelines of a seminar organised
by the Legislative and Legal cell of the party.

Mayawati on Friday had criticised Gadkari whom she alleged
had used unsavoury language against the BSP during a meeting
in Varanasi recently.

She had said that though her people advised her to
give a befitting reply to him but unlike Gadkari, she came
from a cultured family. It appears that the BJP president
lacked values, Mayawati had said.

"Whatever she (the UP chief minister) had said, she
had said as per her culture," Gadkari said.

He ruled out any possibility of alliance with the
Samajwadi Party or BSP either before or after the Assembly
polls and said that his party will contest the polls on its
own.

"The enthusiasm among people towards BJP indicates
that the party will get huge success in the elections," he
said.

On the party`s poor show in the recently concluded
Assembly elections in four states, the BJP president said that
it would make no impact in those states.
