Dehra Dun, adjoining areas hit by hailstorm

Dehra Dun: Dehra Dun and its adjoining
areas were on Sunday hit by hailstorm, causing damage to litchi
and mango crops.

Dehra Dun, Mussoorie and some other adjoining areas
experienced hailstorm for about 15-20 minutes this evening
that also brought down the temperature by 5 to 6 degrees, MeT
officials said.
The day`s temperature, which was around 29 deg C fell to
23 deg C after the hailstorm, it said.

Reports suggested hailstorm damaged the crops of litchi
and mango severely.
Other parts of Uttarakhand also received light to
moderate rainfall, bringing mercury down.
