New Delhi: Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Thursday maintained that a probe was necessary to find out the elements responsible for the bomb blast in West Bengal's Malda district.

"Whosoever is investigating, whether it is the CBI or local police, there should be investigation to find out who is involved in this matter, whether any terrorist organization or a local group; and the truth must come out. Because a small fire can cause huge damage," said Congress leader Rashid Alvi to ANI.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar told ANI, "Let there be clarity as to who all were involved. Police must probe into this matter. If there is any involvement of any group or terrorist organization behind this incident then strong action should be taken. However, police must first probe it."

Three people suffered injuries in a crude bomb blast last night. Reportedly, the injured were making bombs when they exploded. The incident comes close on the heels of the unearthing of a terror module in Burdwan.
