Congress-Trinamool seat-sharing talks inconclusive

The much-awaited talks to finalise the seat-sharing issue between Congress and Trinamool Congress for the coming Assembly elections in West Bengal ended inconclusively on Tuesday night.

Kolkata: The much-awaited talks to
finalise the seat-sharing issue between Congress and Trinamool
Congress for the coming Assembly elections in West Bengal
ended inconclusively on Tuesday night.

Emerging from the one-hour meeting, Union Finance
Minister Pranab Mukherjee told waiting mediamen near his
residence, "We have discussed seat sharing. The discussion is
inconclusive.

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, however, did
not speak to reporters and straightway left for her residence.
