Suri: An FIR was on Saturday registered against Trinamool Congress Birbhum president Anubrata Mondal for allegedly threatening a BJP civic poll candidate, police said.
Dipak Das, BJP candidate for the local municipality election from ward number 15, today lodged the first information report against Mondal for intimidating him, they said.
In his complaint with the Suri police station, Das said that Mondal had yesterday threatened him saying he could get him picked up in three minutes by force.
Mondal said he replied by saying, "law will take its own course".
The municipality is going to poll on April 25.
