LF MPs to hold sit-in in front of Parliament

The Left Front Thursday said a delegation of its MPs and MLAs would hold a dharna in front of Parliament to protest against alleged atrocities being committed against the Front workers in West Bengal.

Kolkata: The Left Front Thursday said a
delegation of its MPs and MLAs would hold a dharna in front of Parliament to protest against alleged atrocities being committed against the Front workers in West Bengal ever since it lost the Assembly elections to the Trinamool Congress.
"A delegation of Left Front MPs and MLAs will go to
Parliament during the Monsoon session to highlight atrocities
being faced by Front workers in West Bengal," LF chairman
Biman Bose told newspersons here.

"They will also hold a two-to-three-hour sit-in there and
give a deputation to the Central government," Bose said adding
that the date for the programme would be fixed later.

The Left Front, which met today to decide its candidate
for the Rajya Sabha elections, would announce the name in the
evening, he said.
The Front, which held four out of the six Rajya Sabha
seats going to the elections this time, would only get one in
keeping with their strength.

Bose also announced a Left Front central programme in
August against petroleum price hike and an anti-corruption
programme from July 15 to July 25.
