"The killing of the innocent villagers in Netai put the last coffin in the misrule of Left Front," he said at a gathering of villagers on the anniversary of the massacre.

Nine persons were killed in indiscriminate firing allegedly from a CPI-M leader's house at Netai village in West Midnapore district on January 7 in 2011.

Roy and other Trinamool Congress leaders attending the meeting demanded exemplary punishment for the accused who are in jail custody.
