Saradha chief had paid Rs 21 cr for N-E TV shares

Television entrepreneur Manoranjana Singh told the Shyamal Sen Commission on Wednesday that Saradha ponzi scheme scam accused Sudpita Sen had paid Rs 21 crore for transfer of shareholding with her channel.

Kolkata: Television entrepreneur Manoranjana Singh told the Shyamal Sen Commission on Wednesday that Saradha ponzi scheme scam accused Sudpita Sen had paid Rs 21 crore for transfer of shareholding with her channel.
Appearing before the Commission, appointed by the West Bengal government to inquire into the multi-crore rupees scam, she said the money was paid for transfer of shareholding of a news channel in the North-East.
Singh, who ran the Guwahati-based N-E TV, produced copies of agreement in this regard before the Commission.

Sen`s representatives were also present during Singh`s submission before the Commission and they would also be allowed to produce documents if they so desired to counter Singh`s claims.
