Kolkata: Accusing the Narendra Modi government of promulgating several "anti-people ordinances", Trinamool Congress on Monday said it would organise state-wide protest rallies against them.

"The BJP government at the Centre has kept both Houses of Parliament in the dark and issued a number of ordinances which are anti-people and anti-nation. They are selling the country," party General Secretary Partha Chatterjee told reporters here.

The rallies would be organised all over the state on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, he announced.

Chatterjee also said the TMC would not let BJP play divisive politics in West Bengal and stop the saffron party and its other organisations from conducting "forced conversion".
