13 students die in Spain accident

At least 13 students were killed and 30 injured on Sunday in a bus accident in Spain's Tarragona province.

Madrid: At least 13 students were killed and 30 injured on Sunday in a bus accident in Spain's Tarragona province.

Catalonia regional Interior Minister Jordi Jane said the victims were aged between 22 and 29 years, Xinhua news agency reported.

Jane said some of them from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB).

The bus carried 57 people from Valencia to Placa Espanya, Barcelona. Jane said the cause of the accident could be human error.

The crash was one of the most serious accidents in Spain involving a coach since July 6, 2000 when a coach-truck collision killed 28 people.
