Barack Obama to meet Iraq Prime Minister
Washington: US President Barack Obama will meet Iraq Primie Minister Nouri al-Maliki at the White House early next month, a presidential spokesman has said.
"The visit will highlight the importance of the US-Iraq relationship under the US-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement (SFA)," the White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, said yesterday.
"The President looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Maliki efforts to enhance cooperation in the fields covered under the SFA, and to coordinating on a range of regional issues," he said in a statement.
