British queen sad over Thatcher`s death

London: Queen Elizabeth was saddened Monday on learning about the death of former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, a media report said.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: "The Queen was sad to hear the news of the death of Baroness Thatcher. Her Majesty will be sending a private message of sympathy to the family."
Margaret Thatcher died Monday after suffering a stroke. She was 87, reported Sky News.
