London: It's hard to take one's eyes off the newly released pictures of royal baby Prince George – who looks stunningly cute as his cherubic face breaks into a charming smile in three Christmas photos made public by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

A natural poser, Prince George's charm is captivating as he is pictured sitting on the steps of Kensington Palace. In the pictures, the 17-month old is seen wearing a white collared shirt topped by a blue sleeveless jumper which features guardsmen in red marching.

The pictures were tweeted by the Clarence House.

Just days ahead of Christmas, Prince William and Kate Middleton have released three pictures of their first royal baby as a thank you to the media for not having published Prince George's paparazzi pictures, the BBC reported.

The pictures are said to be clicked by Prince Harry's private secretary Ed Lane Fox in late November.

The Duke and Duchess seem to be happy and grateful as the media continues to abide by their request of allowing their son to grow up without intrusion, the report added.

Prior to this, Prince George's official pictures were released on July 22 to mark his first birthday.

Prince George, who is the third-in-line to the British throne, will soon have a younger sibling as the royal couple in September announced that Catherine was pregnant with a second child who is due in April.
