Hearing of 9/11 suspects postponed due to Ramadan

The hearing of five accused in September 9/11 attacks has been postponed for two weeks to allow them to observe the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Guantanamo Bay US Naval Base (Cuba): The hearing of five accused in September 9/11 attacks has been postponed for two weeks to allow them to observe the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The delay in the next hearing for Khaled Sheikh Mohammed and four other men was granted by the chief judge in the Guantanamo war crimes tribunals, Army Colonel James Pohl.
If convicted, the five accused face death penalty for their role in plotting terror attacks along with al Qaeda that killed 2,976 people in 2001 hijacked plane attacks.
