Delhi: This is a story which will make your adrenaline rush.
A video which has gone viral on social media shows a US Marine Corps pilot Captain William Mahoney land his plane on a stool after his jet's front landing gear malfunctioned.
Captain Mahoney had taken off from USS Bataan, part of the US Sixth Fleet, in his AV-8B Harrier aircraft and shortly realised that something was amiss.
He slowed down and hovered above the ship.
Then he started communicating with the deck wondering what to do.
It was then when the idea of landing the nose of the aircraft on the stool was suggested.
The captain set the jet to idle when coming in to 20ft above the deck.
However, much to everyone's relief, it dropped, bouncing slightly before the front came to a rest on the large stool.
The deck of the USS Bataan was evacuated in case of an emergency.
